When it comes to people ... the obvious answer is often wrong...


Its amazing, we still think bonuses motivate better outcomes when empirically we know that is not true at all. We also think social media radicalizes people .. when thats not true either (its significant others that influence us most not strangers) and we have know this for years, yet we still buy the "on the surface...seems right" answers when we think about people at work. Best to use system 2 thinking and ask "why" 3 times.
